Crafted using cultivation blades, harvester points, railway line spurs, well worn eye hooks, various pieces of old water pipe and an old bolt. Justin does not cut or grind parts (wire buff only). The metal is honoured in art – the parts integrity is kept fully intact, to show off its hard earned wear and tear.

The Beams of light (pointy bits) eminating from these stars were used like little knives to pierce 3-4 mm into Jarrah sleepers used on the railway lines in Western Australia in years gone by.
So next time you see a Jarrah sleeper look for the piercings up and down each side of them – these penetrations help the preserving treatment soak further into the wood.
